White packaging wins out in health & beauty

MANCHESTER – 27th February 2015: A study of the latest launches reported by Gama Compass™ reveals that white dominates pack colour choices for new product introductions in the health & beauty industry.
Taking into account launches reported in the last 12 month period, Gama has found that white is the clear leader as a pack colour choice for new health & beauty introductions. White was the primary colour of choice in almost 1 in 3 new products reported, well ahead of black in second place, which was used on just less than 8% of launches.
Aside from white and black, frequently used primary pack colours in health & beauty launches included dark purple and gold, while browns, greens and yellows were among the least popular choices.
