Japan: Coca-Cola Japan introduced “Cold Sign Bottle”
Beverage maker Coca-Cola Japan has announced the launch of original Coca-Cola drinks and Coca-Cola Zero drinks in a new bottle package, that turns colour when the bottle gets cold.
The new package features an indicator ink label that develops colour when it reaches a temperature with an "ice cold" sign that transforms into an ice design when it is icy cold, informing consumers the drink is ready to be served cold visually and instantly.
This feature has been created following the desires of the costumers given in a survey conducted for the company. The product is offered for summer from 19th June 2017, and is available in both Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero brands of bottles in sizes of 500ml, 1L (Coca-Cola only) and 1.5L, carrying a RRP of ¥140 ($1.27), ¥232 ($2.10) and ¥320 ($2.90) respectively.
