USA: Nutribolt acquires nutritional supplement maker Scivation

Nutribolt, a Texas-based maker of sports nutrition products and functional foods, has acquired Scivation, a manufacture and supplies nutritional supplements, where the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"We are excited to be teaming up with Scivation to bring to market the most comprehensive, innovative and proven line of pre-workout and BCAA products," commented Nutrabolt CEO Doss Cunningham.

Based in North Carolina, Scivation was founded in 2014, and is claimed to provide essential, pre-workout/energy, intra-workout, post-workout/recovery, fat loss/diet, and mass/power supplement products.

Nutrabolt was founded in 2002 and produces a range of sports nutrition brands including Cellucor, Royal Sport, Cavalier and Fitjoy.

Mike Hockenberry, Scivation chief executive officer, added: "Over the past 18 months, Scivation has been deeply focused on innovation, launching new line extensions such as XTEND GO, XTEND Perform and XTEND Free. These new products, combined with XTEND’s current momentum and the immediate distribution synergies Nutrabolt brings, will propel the brand forward under new ownership".
