USA: Nestle launches Hot Pockets Food Truck range

FMCG multinational Nestle is expanding its Hot Pockets hot snacks range with a new line of sandwiches and "bites" based on the 'food truck' concept.

Advertised as "bring[ing] the taste of popular food trucks to freezers nationwide", the new range is said to have been developed in collaboration with four award-winning food truck proprietors from Los Angeles and ChicagoKomodo, The Lobos Truck, Baby's Burgers and Toasty Cheese Mobile Eatery.

With new adventurous flavors and product forms, the Hot Pockets Food Truck line allows more people to experience the latest in mobile eating, Nestle claims.

Commenting on the launch, John Carmichael, president of the Nestle Pizza & Snacking Division, Nestle USA, said: "Consumers today are looking for more flavor from food and trying different types of cuisine – and they're often inspired by international options," said John Carmichael, president of the Nestle Pizza & Snacking Division, Nestle USA. "Based on the explosion of these trends and the popularity of mobile eating, we wanted to give consumers a delicious and creative new product that brings food truck cuisine to life in their own kitchens".

The new line comprises Triple Cheesy Bacon Melt Bites, Smokin' Bacon BBQ Recipe Burger Bites, Fiery Jalapeno Lime Chicken Rollers, and Spicy Asian-Style Beef Rollers alongside Fiery Jalapeno Lime Chicken Sandwiches and Spicy Asian-Style Beef Sandwiches.
