USA: Mondelez International releases Good Thins snack brand
US-based confectionery and snack firm Mondelez International has unveiled the release of Good Thins, a new “wholesome” savoury snack brand promoted as being made “with real ingredients”.
According to the firm, “the brand starts with real ingredients (like wheat, potato and rice), combines them with enticing flavors (like garlic, spinach and sweet potato) and bakes each piece thin and crispy without any artificial flavors, colors, cholesterol, partially hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup”.
Danielle Brown, Good Thins marketing director at Mondelez International, commented: “The name Good Thins pays tribute to the delicious taste and wholesome ingredients, as well as the thin and crispy texture. Good Thins is good on so many levels, we think it will naturally become a go-to for our consumers in any snacking situation”.
The new snack, which is being launched in the USA, is offered in eight varieties: three varieties of potato snack (Original, Sweet Potato and Spinach & Garlic Flavoured); gluten-free rice snacks in the varieties Simply Salt, Veggie Blend, Sea Salt & Pepper and Poppy & Sesame Seed; as well as Garlic and Herb Chickpea Thins. All of them are available for an RRP of $3.69 per box, varying in weight from 3.5oz to 5.75oz, depending on the variety.
