USA: Milestone Brands acquires American Born Moonshine

Spirits company Milestone Brands has announced the acquisition of the American Born Moonshine brand from Tennessee-based Windy Hill Spirits.

Patrick Dillingham and Sean Koffel founded Windy Hill Spirits in 2013 with the vision to create a moonshine honouring both the tradition and rebel spirit of American moonshiners and bootleggers, according to a coimpany statement., American Born Moonshine has since expanded its distribution to over 25 states and doubled its sales volume over the past year.

"American Born Moonshine is an amazing brand that represents the incredible history of American moonshine", said Eric Dopkins, chief executive officer and chairman of Milestone Brands, in a statement. “We are thrilled to be adding a brand to our portfolio that I truly feel will be a leader in its category".

Milestone Brands was established in February 2016 as a supply and investment company. Their first acquisition was made in May 2016 with Dulce Vida Spirits, formed in 2009 in Texas.
