USA: Kraft Heinz launches new pasta sauce line

American food giant Kraft Heinz has launched a new “premium” line of pasta sauces called Riserva for the US market.

The new Classico Riserva line, added to the Classico line of pasta sauces, is described as offering “simple, high-quality ingredients combine to give Riserva an exceptional taste and quality to elevate any dining experience”.

“Vine-ripened plum tomatoes are picked at the peak of sweetness and are perfectly balanced with herbs and spices, extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of sea salt, then slowly simmered to perfection using Classico sauces’ time-honored recipes”, the company describes.

Classico Riserva Pasta Sauce will be available across the USA from May 2016, retailing at around $4.99. Described as free from artificial flavourings and preservatives, the range is offered in the varieties Marinara, Eggplant & Artichoke, Roasted Garlic, Arrabbiata and Puttanesca.
