USA: Keurig Green Mountain launches Campbell’s soup in K-Cup pods
Hot drink capsule firm Keurig Green Mountain and soup manufacturer Campbell’s have partnered to develop a new soup product in single serving K-cup pods.
Designed to fit capsule hot drinks machines, the new product reportedly took two years to develop. It comes in two flavours: Southwest Style Chicken Broth & Noddle Soup Mix and Homestyle Chicken Broth & Noodle Soup Mix. Each serving is said to contain 70 calories.
Each box of Campbell’s Keurig Soup comes with packets of noodles and pods of soup. According to Keurig’s brewing instructions, the packet of noodles should be emptied into a 12oz cup, which should be then placed onto the drip tray. The K-Cup pod broth should be inserted in the coffee machine and then brewed.
A pack of 8 units is retailed at $11.99 in Keurig Green Mountain’s online shop.
