USA: J&J Snack Foods releases filled Oreo Churros for retail

US food producer J&J Snack Foods has unveiled two filled varieties of its Oreo Churros for the retail market.

A successor to  the original unfilled Oreo Churros launched for the catering market (focused on leisure venues) in November 2014, Oreo Filled Churros come in the versions Creme Filled Oreo Churros and Oreo Churros Creme Filled Bites.

The products, which are described as an exact 10 inch churro version of the American cookie, are said to be made from original Oreo cookie pieces and to have a cream filling inside. The filled churros were designed as a grab-and-go snack alternative within the frozen dessert category and are being made available across the USA in foodservice channels and retail stores.

Packs also include an Oreo cookie crumb sugar topping to be added over the churros after being cooked.
