USA: Jamba Juice launches new smoothies and juices
Jamba Juice, which sells fruit juices and drinks through the Jamba Juice restaurant chain, has announced that it is set to launch its new range of Whole Nutrition smoothies and fresh juices made from “whole” ingredients.
The new smoothie range, launched to tie into the New Year health push, “reflects the evolving science of health and well-being”, according to Jamba, and is made with various blends of fruit and vegetables. Designed to function as a nutritious breakfast, lunch or on the go option, the smoothies are available in three flavours; Kale-ribben Breeze (a blend of mangos, kale, passion-mango juice, Greek yogurt and chia seeds), PB Chocolate Love (a blend of chocolate, peanut butter, bananas, and 2% milk with a “whole grain boost”) and Carrot Orange Fusion (a blend of fresh orange juice, whole carrots, Greek yogurt, soymilk, mangos, bananas and chia seeds).
Elizabeth M. Ward, Jamba Healthy Living Council member, commented: “The USDA is reporting Americans consume only 63 percent of the recommended amount of veggies and 38 percent of the recommended amount of fruit. Jamba Juice's New Whole Food Nutrition line and fresh juices, squeezed to order, are the perfect solution to filling this very real fruit and veggie void. Each offers multiple servings of whole fruits and veggies and other nutrients like protein, fiber, and healthy fats like Omega-3s essential for a healthy diet."
