USA: Glansaol launches with Laura Geller, Julep and Clark’s Botanicals acquisitions
Glansaol, a newly-formed beauty and personal care company, has announced the acquisition of the cosmetic brands Laura Geller, Julep and Clark’s Botanicals for undisclosed amounts.
The acquisition of Laura Geller is said to have already been completed while the other two deals are expected to close shortly.
Laura Geller is known as a pioneer of the “baked” category of makeup as well as dual-purpose products intended to simplify and improve women's makeup routines, Glansaol said.
Julep, meanwhile, sells colour cosmetics and skincare products under the Julep brand. Clark’s Botanicals is a premium skincare brand with a product line containing Jasmine Absolute, a rebalancing ingredient, Glansaol added.
Glansaol president and CEO Alan T Ennis said: "I am delighted to be taking this first bold step. Each of the three brands we are acquiring today plays a specific and important role in our portfolio and will retain their individual brand autonomy and culture. I believe that our unique long-term view of building the next great beauty company is appealing to both brand owners and the capital markets".
