USA: Del Monte launches vegetable noodles

Del Monte, the US-based producer and distributor of fresh and prepared fruit and vegetables, is introducing a range of noodles in North America based on vegetable ingredients.

Available in six varieties – Zucchini, Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato, Beet, Yellow Squash and Carrot – Del Monte Vegetable Noodles are promoted as a “100% fresh, healthy and preservative free […] easy and fun way to increase vegetable consumption”.

"We are excited to bring our pre-cut vegetable noodle concept to grocery stores and markets across the country", commented Dennis Christou, vice president of marketing at Del Monte, adding: "They are the perfect pasta alternative for healthy eaters and an easy, fun way for consumers to increase vegetable consumption".

Del Monte Vegetable Noodles are ready to cook and can be found in the refrigerated section of selected stores across the US.
