USA: Campbell Soup to launch V8 vegetable and fruit beverages

Campbell Soup is expanding its range under the V8 brand with the launch of a new shelf-stable beverage range featuring vegetables with a “touch of fruit”.

The new line-up includes four varieties: Healthy Greens with spinach, yellow carrots, apples & pineapple, Purple Power with purple carrots, beets & apple, Golden Goodness with sweet potatoes, yellow carrots, orange carrots & orange, and Carrot Mango with a blend of carrot and mango juice.

Commenting on the launch, Kelli McCusker, Vice President of Beverage at Campbell Soup Company, said: “With this new line, we set out to meet the changing tastes and healthier lifestyle needs of consumers by delivering juice blends that are delicious, with a more desirable ingredient panel, namely the presence of vegetable nutrition”.

Each juice is said to provide only 60 calories or less and to contain essential antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E.

V8 vegetable and fruit beverages are available in multi-serve 46 oz and single-serve 12 oz sizes at a suggested retail price of $3.99 and $1.00 respectively.
