USA: Atlantic Natural Foods to acquire Neat Foods

It has been announced that Atlantic Natural Foods (ANF) has entered into a letter of intent to acquire the assets of Neat Food, with both companies expecting the acquisition to be finalised by the end of 2015.

According to a press release, ANF is looking to extend its portfolio with “shelf-stable protein-based alternatives” by adding the Neat Foods range of “meat-alternative, 100% vegetarian/vegan, non-GMO, and gluten free” products.

ANF CEO Kelly Krause commented by saying: “At ANF, we believe adding alternatives for our vegan consumers is critical to creating a solid shelf presence for present and future consumers”.

Douglas Hines of AFT added: “Great synergies exist between these two companies, which will only enhance the future in the developing healthy living food space. The commitment to investing in developing concepts, especially within the future’s lifestyle market, is at the core of our strategy”.
