UK: Portlebay Popcorn adds Cappuccino to its flavour range

Devon, UK-based popcorn manufacturer Portlebay Popcorn has expanded its range of flavoured popcorn with the launch of a new Cappuccino variety.

Promoted as the “first Cappuccino popcorn in the UK”, the new product is described as featuring “notes of silky caramel and a bitter hint of coffee”.

“We strive to constantly innovate and continue to drive the popcorn offering forward. With this being a first in the category, we anticipate phenomenal demand for this new flavour following the results from our market research”, said Jonty White, managing director of Portlebay Popcorn, commenting on the launch.

This latest addition will be available in a 75g bag at an RRP of £1.70 ($2.66). The initial launch in Budgens stores, independent delis and farm shops will be followed by other chains in autumn 2015, including Tesco, Soho Coffee and Thornton’s coffee shops.
