UK: Pizza Pilgrims introduces frying pan pizza kit

Pizza Pilgrims, a UK-based street food and restaurant chain, has teamed up with e-retailer Amazon to launch a frying pan pizza kit that is said to allow consumer to make authentic Neapolitan pizzas in their own home.

Comprising ingredients such as pizza dough, pasta sauce and mozzarella in individual tubs inside a board sleeve,the pizza kit was developed by Pizza Pilgrims founders Thom and James Elliot, with the packaging designed in cooperation with Slice Design.

Pizza Pilgrims Frying Pan Pizza Kit is available in Napoli Salami, Nduja Sausage and Margherita varieties and is said to have enough ingredients per 850g pack to prepare two pizzas. The pizzas can be prepared on the hob in under three minutes, a method producing an authentic pizza that more closely replicates the intense heat found in traditional stone pizza ovens, Pizza Pilgrims said.

The kits are retailed for between £10 ($13.25) and £12.50 ($16.56).
