UK: Mars launches trail mixes based on confectionery brands
Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats, the EU confectionery arm of the food multinational, is launching new trail mixes under its established chocolate brands, according to reports in Talking Retail and FoodBev.
The new line is described as comprising M&M’s with raisins, cranberries and peanuts, Bounty with chocolate pieces, coconut, pineapple, raisins and sultanas, and Galaxy with chocolate pieces, golden raisins, cashews and cranberries. Each comes in a flexible pack of 25g that contain 95 or 99kcal depending on the variety, according to pack information.
Commenting on the launch, Michelle Frost, general manager for Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats, said: "We are keen to offer consumers more choices on how to enjoy their favourite chocolate brands. These new products combine the distinctive taste of M&Ms, Bounty and Galaxy in delicious dried fruit and nut combinations".
Packs have an RRP of £0.69 ($1.01).
