UK: Tangerine Confectionery to release two limited seasonal Butterkist popcorns

Tangerine Confectionery is set to roll out two limited edition varieties of flavoured Butterkist popcorn in September 2015.

The new launches, Grim Green sweet popcorn and Butterkist Gingerbread flavoured popcorn are aimed at adding seasonal variety to the Butterkist range with the Halloween occasion in mind.

Anjna Mistry, senior brand manager at Butterkist, said: “Our first-to-the-market limited editions offer a fantastic opportunity for retailers to drive sales as we head into a time of year when consumers are looking to spend a little bit more on snacking and treating. These products deliver on taste and quality as well as satisfying customer demand for novelty and seasonal products.”

The gingerbread variety features a sweet & spice flavour while Grim Green features bright green popcorn said to be made with natural colours and flavours. Both varieties are to be made available in 150g bags retailed at £1.49 ($2.33).
