Thailand: Mamee Double Decker launches “naturally purple” crisps

Mamee Double Decker, a Thailand-based snacks and drinks firm, has announced the launch of new sweet potato crisps in its home market under the Mister Potato brand.

Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisps are “naturally purple”, a phenomenon that is said to derive from the natural colours of the purple sweet potato itself.

According to a company press release, the new product is “addictive” with a “delicious, sweet taste” and is also high in calcium and vitamins yet free from trans fat and cholesterol.

Available in a 45g size priced at 25 THB ($0.70) and a 100g size priced at 55 THB ($1.58), Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisps will be sold at 7-Eleven, Lawson, Family Mart, and Tops stores. As part of a launch campaign, consumers will also be offered free gifts.
