South Korea: Samlip introduces new banana cream croissant

South Korea’s major bread maker Samlip Foods has recently introduced a new croissant with banana flavour under its brand name Sand Farm.

This new bread is described as round shaped croissant buns filled with banana cream, and then topped with fruit cocktail and chocolate chips, adding sweet and sour flavour to the buttery taste of the croissant.

Commenting on the product, the company said: “We developed a new style of croissant sandwich which is filled with banana cream in order to meet our consumers’ desire for a variety of flavours”, adding: “It is ideal to be consumed with coffee or milk”.

The pastry is sold at an RRP of 2000 KRW ($1.73).

Samlip Foods manufactures a variety of breads, snacks, frozen sweets and noodles, and markets well-known brands including Samlip and Shany.
