South Korea: Dr Chung’s Food to launch textured Vegemil soy drink
Dr Chung’s Food is launching new texture-enhanced version of its Vegemil soy drink in South Korea.
According to sources, the UHT drink contains apple and mango juice and pieces of nata de coco and peach and is targeted at women.
Hwan Jung, marketing director at Dr. Chung's Food, commented: “With this product we want to attract a new target group: young consumers. Our primary target audience is young women who want to eat a diet that's healthy and delicious. This will put soy drinks in a new light because for the first time, thanks to the healthy, natural bits, the added value in the drink can actually be felt on the tongue. The straws that come with the carton packs have a large, 6mm diameter, making drinking the beverage a totally new experience".
The product, made with SIG Combibloc's Drinksplus technology, is available in 200ml aseptic cartons with metallic print.
