Saudi Arabia: PepsiCo opens new facility in the Middle East

PepsiCo, one of the world’s leading food and beverage manufacturers, has inaugurated a new 55,000 square metre  snack plant  in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to supply the snack market across the country.

The facility is PepsiCo’s 15th in the Middle East, a region where the company has been doing business for 60 years.

The opening of the plant follows comes months after PepsiCo opened an innovation centre in Dubai, the firm’s first facility of its kind in the region.

“The Middle East is a dynamic food and beverage market and a critical engine of growth for PepsiCo”, said Indra Nooyi, PepsiCo Chairman and CEO. “Over the years, PepsiCo and Saudi Arabia have prospered together and the investment in this plant is testament to our belief in PepsiCo’s bright future in this country and the wider region. The plant will be a critical hub for our company, bringing some of PepsiCo’s best-loved snacks and newest innovations to Saudi Arabia and markets throughout the region”.
