Portugal: Bel Portugal launches “pasture milk”

Bel Portugal, the Portuguese arm of the French dairy firm Groupe Bel, has announced an investment of €5 million ($5.5 million) in a new production line for its plant of Ribeira Grande in the Azores and the launch of a 'pasture milk' under the Terra Nostra brand.

Terra Nostra Pasture Milk is the first result of Bel Portugal’s ‘milk from happy cows’ initiative, launched in 2015 in cooperation with Azores dairy producers in order to provide consumers with milk from cows raised in the outdoors and fed on pasture for 365 days of the year.

"Terra Nostra pasture milk is all about doing good: for the Azores, for our producers and for the welfare of our animals”, said Paula Gomes, marketing director at Bel. “It is a milk that responds to the growing demand for more natural and healthy products, ensuring pasture grazing for 365 days of the year”.

Terra Nostra pasture milk is available in 1 l cartons in both skimmed and semi-skimmed options.
