Poland: Mondelez International to invest in new R&D facility

Mondelez, the global snacks and confectionery firm, has announced an investment of $15 million in a new state-of-the-art innovation hub for chocolate and biscuits. in Poland

The new global Research, Development & Quality (RDQ) site in Bielany Wroclawskie is expected to host 250 specialist recruited from all over the globe.

“This $15 million investment supports our growth strategy to offer innovative chocolate and biscuit products that meet the changing needs of consumers, while maintaining a competitive edge in the markets of tomorrow," said Rob Hargrove, Executive Vice President, Research, Development & Quality for Mondelēz International. "Embedding one of our largest research hubs here clearly signals the importance of Poland and Europe within our global RDQ network".

The new facility, which is expected to be completed by early 2017, will support new products and technologies for brands including Cadbury Dairy Milk, Milka, Barni and Oreo.
