Japan: Suntory to launch yoghurt-flavoured bottled water

Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd has announced that it is launching a new yogurt-flavoured bottled water in Japan from April 2015.

Named Yogurina, the new product will be the latest to be added under the Suntory Tennensui (Suntory Natural Water) bottled water brand, and is described as being clear in colour but also as having a “rich yet light sweet yogurt flavour”.

According to the manufacturer, the product is based on natural water sourced from the Japanese South Alps, blended with “perfectly balanced” whey. It also contains  “carefully selected” fermented milk and fruit juice for a “lightly sweet and luxurious” flavour.

The product is offered in two sizes: 515ml for an RRP of 124 JPY ($1.04) and 280ml for an RRP of 115 JPR ($0.96).
