Japan: Suntory launches Lemon & Mint Pepsi
Consumers in Japan will be able to purchase a Lemon & Mint flavoured cola under the Pepsi Special brand from July, according to a press release from manufacturer Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd.
The zero-calorie limited edition is the fourth Food for Specified Health Uses (FOSHU) approved cola drink from the brand that is claimed to helps block the absorption of fat into the body.
According to Suntory, the new variety is “the best match for a hot summer” and has a light taste thanks to its combination of “a refreshing lemon and mint flavours”. The yellow label is designed to clearly communicate the product’s health benefits while the overall combination of white, yellow and green pack colours are aimed at conveying the idea of a “refreshing summer”, according to further information.
The product is presented in a 490ml plastic bottle with an RRP of 150 JPY ($1.21).
