Italy: San Carlo reveals new Chilli & Mint flavoured crisps

Italian crisp and snacks producer San Carlo is introducing a  limited edition Chilli & Mint version of its Piu Gusto crisps.

After  launching a competition in May asking consumers to create their own flavour blend, San Carlo has revealed Chilli & Mint as the winning combination. The new flavour blend will become the fifth entry in  the Piu Gustorange, joining the existing varieties Vivace, Seasonal Tomato, Lime and Pink Peppercorn, and Mustard Seed.

For the first time San Carlo had asked consumers to be directly involved in the creation of  a new product variety. The company  asked them to create a flavour combination from 150 different options and the result was more than 10,000 different suggestions.

The Chilli & Mint crisps will be launched on the market as a limited edition in January 2015, signed by the competition winner.
