Israel: Frutarom acquires Redbrook for $45 million

Irish seasoning specialist Redbrook has been acquired by Israeli ingredients company Frutarom for $44.8 million.

The Dublin-based company specialises in seasoning blends, marinades, glazes and cures for the meat and savoury food processing sectors.

Redbrook takes Frutarom’s acquisition in 2016 to six, with previous buys including the Austrian firm Wiberg for $130 million, the US Grow Company for $20 million and the Germany-based Extrakt Chemie for $6 million.

Commenting on the deal, Frutarom president and CEO Ori Yehundai said: “This is an important acquisition in establishing Frutarom’s standing as one of the world’s largest and leading companies for flavors, and strengthens its presence and position as a top global producer of natural, healthy and innovative savoury taste solutions. The acquisition reinforces our market leadership in the UK and constitutes Frutarom’s first entry into the Irish market”.
