India: Bikano to expand production capacity
Bikano, an Indian manufacturer of confectionery and snack products, is to increase its daily production capacity by 50 tonnes through a 40 crore INR ($6 million) investment, according to a report in FNB News.
The move follows a previous announcement by the firm that it was set to enter the ready-to-eat sector with with a range of savoury dishes comprising Shahi Paneer, Rajma and Sarson Ka Saag.
Commenting on the plans, Bikano director Manish Aggarwal said: "We are happy to announce that our plants will now be able to produce 230 MT of products per day in order to meet the increasing demand from our customers. [...] We are expanding our manufacturing capacity in order to serve more people in India".
Bikano currently produces around 183 tonnes per day via facilites in Delhi, Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) and Rai (Haryana).
