France: Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle to be acquired by Estee Lauder

The Estee Lauder Companies Inc. has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle for an undisclosed amount.

Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle offers a collection of exclusive, ultraluxury fragrances personally curated by Malle, according to an Estee Lauder press release. The deal would enable Frederic Malle fragrances to expand their reach to global markets, the company said.

Fabrizio Freda, President and Chief Executive Officer of Estee Lauder  said: “Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle represents the epitome of elegance".

Executive Chairman William P. The acquisition is expected to close in January 2015.
