Canada: Jusu Bar acquires Cru Juice

Canadian fruit juice company Jusu Juice Bar has announced the acquisition of Alberta-based Cru Juice.

Cru Juice focuses on cold-pressed juice that combines raw ingredients with ‘superfoods’ including chia and chlorella. Blends include green apple, cucumber, celery, green kale, parsley, lemon and ginger with chlorella, and almonds, cashews, hemp seeds, medjool dates, maple syrup, vanilla bean and cinnamon with sea salt

Jusu Bar was founded in British Columbia and produces ‘grab and go’ food and beverages that are described as organic and plant based. Jusu Bar currently has 3 locations within the province, with plans to expand further within the next year.

Commenting on the deal, Cru Juice co-founder Naomi Le Bihan said: "We're proud to have built Cru and positioned the company as a leader in a food movement that is experiencing unprecedented growth. Our goal was to design whole, non-GMO and preservative free foods to fuel busy lives".
