Brazil: Mondelez and BRF reach new agreement for the distribution of Philadelphia
BRF, the leading Brazilian meat processing firm, has announced the acquisition of K&S Alimentos, the firm formerly responsible for the production and distribution of Philadelphia branded products in Brazil.
In an official statement released on 18th March, BRF explained that the new deal would effectively bring to an end the previous arrangement for the production and distribution of the Philadelphia brand in Brazil: K& S having been a joint venture between the two firms that was previously responsible for the brand’s operations.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Mondelez will be responsible for the production of Philadelphia products, while distribution and sale will be controlled solely by BRF.
