Brazil: BRF and Jamie Oliver to collaborate on new Sadia line

BRF, the Brazilian meat processor, is embarking on a partnership with UK chef Jamie Oliver for the launch of a new line of chicken products made with natural ingredients, according to reports in the Brazilian media.

The line of "gourmet" frozen products is the result of a R$50 million ($15 million) investment that is designed to inspire Brazilians to eat more healthily and using less processed ingredients, Giro News reports. The project is said to be structured around three "pillars" that include animal welfare and an educational programme in schools, alongside new product launches. According to information, the line will encourage additional cooking processes, such as roasting meat or heating sauces.

The new line of products is set to be introduced across Brazil from September.
