Australia: Woolworths introduces 'Delicious Nutritious' ready meal range

Australian supermarket chain Woolworths has launched a ‘Delicious Nutritious’ line of ready meals, developed in partnership with celebrity fitness trainer Michelle Bridges.

According to Australian Food News, the line is targeted at consumers who are looking for healthy and quick meals.

Michelle Bridges, who is said to have worked closely with the retailer to create the range, commented: "I’m pleased to continue my mission to help busy Australians eat well by providing healthy dishes that are ready to eat in minutes - without compromising on taste".

The Michelle Bridges Delicious Nutritious range includes the following varieties: Butter Chicken, Peri Peri Style Chicken with Wholegrain Rice, Wholegrain Penne Bolognese with Roasted Vegetables, Italian Style Chicken with Wholegrain Penne Pasta and Beef & Barley Casserole with Roasted Vegetables.

The products are available in stores in packs of 350g, priced at A$7.99 ($6.09).
