Australia: Woolworths debuts Simply Heat meat and vegetable range

Australian supermarket chain Woolworths is launching a new range of ready-to-heat meat and vegetable dishes under the name Woolworths Simply , according to an article in Australian Food News.

The range comprises  21 SKUs in total and is sub-divided into products labelled Simply Heat Slow-Cooked, Simply Stir Fry, Simply Roast, Simply Bake, Simply Roast and Simply Steam. Targeted at consumers looking for an easier way to create a home-cooked meal, the new lines are said to be produced in Australia and, in the case of the meat dishes, to take between 45 minutes and one hour to cook in the oven.

The Slow Cooked range includes varieties such as Beef Bourgignon and Hungarian Goulash, while the Simply Cook range includes options such as Simply Cook Chicken Satay and Simply Cook Chicken Chasseur. Elsewhere, Simply Stir Fry Superfood Stir Fry, Simply Steam Vegetables with Garlic Butter and Simply Roast Mixed Vegetables are among the other product offerings.
