Australia: “First paper water bottle” launched
A paper-based water bottle has recently been launched by Australian beverage company, Do Water, in a move which is described as a first for the Australian market.
According to the company, the packs are lightweight, collapsible and recyclable.
As reported by Australian Food News (AFN), the water is sourced from Sardinia and is also bottled on site. The company went on to say that the water is piped directly from the mountain into the packaging and that the first time water is exposed to light is when “the seal is broken on Australian shores”.
According to Do Water, the paper in each pack comes from FSC-certified, responsibly managed renewable forests and that “the materials can be traced back to the forest of their origin”.
The product is available online and also through speciality stores.
